The Force Of Fulcrums

It’s a critical component necessary to properly utilize leverage. You must place the fulcrum in the right place to fully make use of its power. Your personal fulcrum includes many aspects of your life.

In building anything – personal or professional, you have to effectively balance all the elements to be efficient. If you aren’t, your level of effectiveness will always be restricted.
Putting the Fulcrum to Use
In using the fulcrum concept, the first step is always to evaluate where you are. Examine the five most crucial areas of your life – the physical, mental, personal, emotional, and vocational facets of yourself. It’s likely that whatever you’d like to alter lies within these five primary areas. Begin ascertaining how satisfied you are with every area by ranking yourself. Assess each aspect one at a time.

Physical — How you feel about your body: your health & fitness
The physical aspect is the demonstration of all the positive and negative energies in your body. If you don’t feel great about yourself, your body will reverberate those feelings in terms of assorted aches and pains and persistent ailments. Your body is a sanctuary that furnishes a safe harbor for your spirit. It enables you to follow your journey through a valley full of emotions. Your greatest focus should be on exercise, healthy sustenance, and consistent exposure to energies that are favorable and empowering. All forms of self abuse, such as smoking or drinking and eating in excess, not only abbreviate your body’s productive life, it also allows damaging energies to emerge and block access to your core.

Mental — The way you believe: your mental attitude
Your mental aspect is your most integral communication with yourself and with those around you. It’s the force behind manifestation in your life. It’s here that as you believe, so you create. This is the side of you that attains your dreams. Any desire to have what you want in life begins here. Without proper conditioning and support, your views will bombard your mind with damaging thoughts. On the other hand, if you empower this aspect with positive energies by fertilizing your mind with healthy, favorable thoughts, you’re likely to create anything you wish.

Personal — How you feel about yourself: your self-esteem and self-worth
Your personal aspect reflects how you feel regarding yourself in terms of self-perception, self-assurance and self confidence. It’s how you carry yourself, how you relate to who you are. It’s obviously the area in your life where you’re most knowledgeable and experienced however often the one most ignored. Your personal perception is intimately related to your mental view in that it echoes what you believe in your mind. It links closely to your physical aspect in that it is directly evidenced in your health & fitness condition. It’s said that self love is the most essential love because as you care for yourself with honor, you indeed love the light of the higher power inside you. And when you love the Divine, you love all that’s around you. You must give yourself grace, be gentle and forgiving of yourself. When you do, you’ll find that you are able to do the same for others much more freely and easily.

Emotional — How you connect with people: family, friends, colleagues
Your emotional aspect is the mirror of your personal aspect. It reflects how you feel about other people. Love is central to making all your aspirations a reality. This includes not only love for yourself, but love for all those close to you—family, friends, colleagues and even Mother Earth. Love comes in many ways we forget about such as tolerance, respect, esteem, caring, forgivingness and compassion. Your power your emotional aspect determines how solid your relationships are, how well you interact with energies around you, and how close you are to tapping the resources of your core being.

Vocational — How you feel about your work: what you’re doing today
The vocational aspect is another crucial part of your life. It comprises the central component of your master plan. This doesn’t refer to your job. This is your purpose, your calling, your destiny — whether it’s as a scientist, a creative, a preacher, an instructor, a full-time parent, or an explorer searching the world. You’re here to learn the lessons you pre-selected. At your core are the deep desires to study and explore those lessons while you’re here. Those desires are your passions. They’re the energies that transform into the natural born abilities that make you perfect at what you do. If you’re not truly following your heart, you likely experience feelings of sorrow, defeat, disappointment, and resignation. Yet if you’re abiding by Spirit, you’re prone to experience joy, fulfillment and a sense of achievement.

Physical, mental, personal, emotional, and vocational… Each of these areas of your life are crucial and more importantly, they are interrelated. When you address one area, you inevitably address another, which is both the challenge and the beauty of their nature. From time to time, it is critical that you evaluate these areas and see if there is some imbalance. When you find there is imbalance, you must adjust the fulcrum to create power and leverage to accomplish all you desire in life.

Personal Coaching Action Steps:

1. Answer these questions about your five areas of life:
• What has caused me to be in the condition I’m in today? How has that affected my life? How has it impacted the individuals I love? What could I do to improve this area?

2. Ask yourself these questions:
• How do I view my world? How has that affected the manner in which I think? How has it molded the way individuals think of me? How has it impacted all that I am and all that I do?

3. Now ask yourself: What do I need to do to create a shift in the fulcrum that will catapult my life?
